 |

I'm a gardener who has planted his first brugmansia. I've planted it in memory of my mother who passed away 2 years ago. She's playing the Angel's trumpet. Now, it is invaded by thrips. I've taking a leaf covered with these creatures to a local garden shop where they identified these awful creatures. How can I rid my plant from these things? It was doing fine, flowering like crazy and then I noticed the leaves turning yellowish and browning on the edges. Attack of the thrips! It happened last year and I tried a pesticide, which I hate to use because of what it might do to surrounding plants and bees and butterflies. Any suggestions about using something that wouldn't be so poisonous to the environment? Thank you!!!

Steve, in order to get rid of the thrips on your brugs, you have to use a pesticide. You have no other choice. Thrips can seriously harm your brugs. They transmit virus from infected to healthy plants. _________________ www.monika-gottschalk.de |
